Maurice Redwood
Owner/Executive Producer
Maurice Redwood is an actor/filmmaker/director with more than 15 years of acting and filmmaking experience. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pa, he grew up in the Hill District and has resided in Pittsburgh all his life. His introduction to theater came in 2003 as assistant sound engineer for Pittsburgh Playwrights Theater Company’s production of ‘When The Water Turns Clear’. Since, he has evolved into an accomplished actor and director working both on and off stage on various productions and performances in Pittsburgh and the surrounding area. Maurice is the owner of the Pittsburgh based media and film production company, Redwood Media Group LLC, established in 2019. The first feature film from Redwood Media Group, House of Stones, was released on YouTube in 2024. Maurice, along with his brother Carter, is a 2023 August Wilson Fellow at Duquesne University in partnership with the August Wilson House.
